Interesting things to do in Louisville?

Dazed and Confused asked:

Within the next week I’ll probably be traveling to Louisville to visit my boyfriend, however he could not get off work all of the days of my visit, so I’ll be left to my own devices for some time.

I’ve never been to Louisville but I hear it’s a great city; very laid back and unpretentious. My interests lie in the arts. I’m particularly interested in galleries, clothing and jewelry boutiques, bookstores/comic shops, etc. Also incredibly interested in independent music– mostly rock and pop. Can anyone recommend some good record stores and venues?

Lastly, I’m a complete foodie. Recommend some great, local places?

Hooky hammer forged copper, silver neckpiece art jewelry by Tara Wangchuk

artisfood asked:

“Hooky” hammer forged copper or silver neckpiece by Tara Wangchuk
This is my original design and work. My jewelry has been in galleries and fine stores for years. Enjoy looking at these- Wearing of three metals is said to have healing properties. The spiral in many of my pieces is symbolic of expansive universal energies- sacred to many traditions as well as in nature. Please remember they are intellectual property of the artist as I respect the originality of others- I celebrate the originality of others! rinpoche1000@hotmail.com for more information and availability.
