Jewelry Ring Molds for PMC3, Silver Art Clay?

Hi!
New to jewelry making, and I need some help from the experts. I have been experimenting with precious metal clay, art clay, art silver. What I’m trying to figure out is what’s the best way to make a thin band ring. Like the stackable type. I see a lot of hammered bands and would love to create my own with a twist.

What I’m trying to figure out is what’s the best way to make a thin band ring. Like the stackable type. I see a lot of hammered bands and would love to create my own with a twist.
Do I need a ring mold or a clay cutter? I know you can just cut out your clay and wrap it around the mandrel, but there has to be an easier cookie cutter way to do this. Any suggestions tips will be appreciated!
