Egyptian Gift shop in Hollywood and Los Angeles Area (possibly San Fernando Valley, too)?
The_Thinker asked:
Hi, all! My friend is so passionate about Egyptian everything. I need to give her a gift. So, where are the best gift shops around Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley area? I’m thinking of getting her a jewelry box, bracelet, necklace, art, or some kind of decoration. Definitely not earrings, since some people are allergic to copper backs, and oils eventhough Egypt is popular for them, I think. Please, help me out. I only have this weekend and a few more days.

Help with Finding a Book (see details)?

I`m regretting getting this book so much. I looked thru it at our local Borders and didn`t buy it and now I can`t even remember the title. It was in the art section under ‘crafts’ right next to some of the metal jewelry books and it was something like ‘weird trinkets’ or something. It had earrings with doll hands at the end, a jewelry box with an old drawn on duck, a baby doll head with the top cut off as a pin cushion, an eggshell painted gold with a gold beetle in it, a two headed deer. Just alot of weird things that you`d find in some small shop at the back of some alley. And the book showed you step by step how to make some of this stuff. Creepy cool stuff. Just wondering if anyone knows the book or maybe if that particular style of creepy cool trinkets has a title? Sort of victorian, old fashioned creepy.
