Volunteering at the hospital every week since the summer after Freshman Year
Work for my city’s park district as a tour guide in my town May-October, as Santa’s Helper in December, and a kid’s birthday part host year-round.
Serve as a youth representative on my city’s Transportation Advisory Board.
Another one of my hobbies is designing and constructing jewelry, some of which I have sold.

i’ve signed up for sat and act but haven’t taken them yet. on the psat i got 74 in reading, 74 in math, 70 in writing

on the sat i got a 1530 (730 cr, 800 math) and with the writing i got a 2240 (710 writing). that was my first time taking it. i’m taking it again in march and i’m actually going to study this time so i’m hoping to get it up a few points, especially the writing.

how’s it looking for me
um at my school if you get an a in honors precalc you can go to calc bc. we cover everything ab does we just go a lot faster and then do some extra stuff at the end. i didn’t know that you couldn’t do that at other schools.
how are my chances at getting into stanford or northwestern?
i’m a junior in high school, 4.60 GPA (3.97 unweighted), class rank 2/1200 students, and I will take ACT/SAT this spring (i got a 218 on the psat and I made stupid mistakes in math so I can definitely do better).
I live in the Chicago suburbs and am a white female. I will be the first person on my mom’s side of the family to go to college.

these two colleges are my top choices. any advice on how to improve my chances?
